Woolwich Township Approves South Pointe Extension and Center Square Tavern Expansion
The Woolwich Township Joint Land Use Board (JLUB) held its regular meeting on March 6, 2025, tackling several agenda items, including an extension request for South Pointe at Weatherby and a minor site plan approval for the Center Square Tavern.
South Pointe Extension Granted
CP Woolwich Urban Renewal, LLC requested a three-year extension for the amended site plan approvals related to the South Pointe at Weatherby project. This extension will allow them to finalize financing for the project. The Board approved the request unanimously, with only Mayor Matthias abstaining due to concerns about site maintenance.
Center Square Tavern Expansion Approved with Conditions
Larry Wallace, owner of the Center Square Tavern, presented plans for a minor site plan approval to expand the restaurant's outdoor seating area. The Board approved the plan with several conditions, including soundproofing the new addition, maintaining existing landscaping, and not exceeding current parking capacity. The Board also discussed the possibility of adding bike parking in the future.
Other Business
The Board also addressed the annual review of variances granted in 2024 and adopted a resolution regarding the findings and conclusions of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:38 pm.
